 ... a conversation, a photograph, a sketch, a detail teased from a set of drawings. Ferrous is a true collaboration in the design process. We help develop look and feel. We find ways to refine process. We listen to our clients and keep them in the loop. Our design/fabrication studio is spacious enough to produce large runs and boasts the technologies necessary to produce meticulous prototypes. Our designers and metal artisans wield a critical eye, extensive knowledge of materials and fabrication processes, and an enthusiasm for tackling challenging projects.

Our Team
Kyle Reicher noted metal sculptor, received his BFA in sculpture from Alfred University in New York and his MFA from the Wichita State University in Kansas. After graduate school Reicher spent a year in Tallinn, Estonia on a Fulbright Fellowship. Post Fulbright, Reicher returned to the states and relocated to San Francisco. He found artistic representation with The Braunstein/Quay Gallery and a day job as a builder assisting ceramic artist Peter Voulkos. Reicher established connections in the art and design world and began collaborating with designers, architects, artists and builders to realize their visions in metal. After 12 years of growing a business in a glorified garage under his own name, he incorporated and became Ferrous Studios Inc. Ferrous now employs 12 talented metal artisans and boasts a fabrication shop with almost 20,000 square feet.
Our team comes from diverse backgrounds in the design and metal working fields. We are represented by machinists, code welders, blacksmiths, industrial designers, sculptors and ironworkers

Ferrous Studios Inc. is a custom metal fabrication and design company specializing in mid- to high-end ornamental ironwork including cladding, railing, and furniture. Signature processes include rust patina on stainless, custom CNC-machined hardware, and riveted French industrial motifs.
